I experienced first hand how challenging it is to navigate through feeding difficulties and different voices in the parenting sphere in the bewildering early days. I believe the right support can nurture mothers and empower parents to enjoy parenting with confidence.

I am a strong advocate for improved medical education in the area of breastfeeding and infant feeding. I am an active member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and Breastfeeding Medicine Network Australia / New Zealand.

As a way of giving back to my community and paying forward the support I have received I volunteer as a La Leche League leader, running support meetings and providing online breastfeeding support. Outside of work and parenting my growing brood of young children I enjoy reading, orchestral music playing, podcasts and gardening.
